Case Study: Bud Light U

The Challenge

Bud Light exists to bring fun to everyone, so the squad at Salt XC created a program that aimed to team up with energetic and outgoing students across Canada.



For this to make an impact, they needed trendy branded solutions that would make a splash with the University demographic across Canada.

 

The goal of the program is to bring people together to rep their favourite beverage in unique and exciting ways, all for the sake of having fun.

The Collaboration


2024 has been the year of the two-tone hat, so we did not want to sleep on that with the viral potential of this program.


With a few successful rounds of this style of hat with the Salt XC/Bud Light team, we knew that we could deliver a premium level hat with a unique and fun design. Enter the upside down varsity style BLU two-tone hat.


With the hats set as our anchoring swag item, we added a few other fun supporting pieces to the pie, such as:


  • Custom BLU Playing Cards
  • T-shirts featuring Universities across the country
  • Embroidered BLU Plush Robes
  • BLU Flags
  • BLU lanyards
  • BLU Vinyl Stickers

 

The Result

In late August, the Salt XC team flew in and hosted 50 Canadian reps at their head office in Toronto to deliver the goods and get everyone excited for the 2024 BLU program. 


With coverage across Canada in the major University towns:

Saskatchewan | Kingston

Hamilton | Waterloo

Guelph | Ottawa

London | Montreal

Quebec City | Halifax


The BLU team was well prepped to let the good times role and unite their peers for a good time.


The social media impressions continue to tick up as the school year rolls on. 


As we have seen from following along with the organic post, we are happy to see the hats are a big hit with all of the reps.
